In this unique tutorial, I show you how I created these wild and fantastical dimensional rainbow brush strokes in Photoshop from start to finish! If you know me, you know I LOVE ME a RAINBOW!
Wild and fantastical brush strokes!
I was inspired by the Dior couture outfit worn by Cara Delevingne at the 2019 annual Met Ball, whose theme was CAMP. I loved the effect of these rainbow tubing elements, and it looked so cool contrasted with the flesh tones underneath! Using the wet mixer brush in Photoshop, I create dimensional, 3D looking ’tube’ brush strokes, creating a wild rainbow brush. Then I create a crystal pavé effect by spacing out the brush. I also have another color scheme setup inspired by Lupita Nyongo’s fabulous multi-colored ombré Versace look!
