hello and welcome
A note from Jessica about the new Creators Couture
Hello and welcome to my new, expanded shop. As many of you visiting may already know, I’ve made a name for myself creating great resources for designers, such as my top selling InstaGlam system. Even though it was released in late October of last year, it still made the top 25 best selling products of Creative Market for 2014, out of over 100,000 products!
I love that my products and tutorials can help other designers expand their skill set and create work they didn’t think they were capable of, and the feedback and interaction has kept me super motivated to push myself creatively.
I am now expanding my site to include more categories of creative resources, such as patterns and illustrations, and also have a new license agreement for certain categories, which is really supportive of fellow designers and creators who wish to make items for sale with my illustrations and resources.
The other big news is that I am now offering super unique, fashion inspired gifts with my interpretation of trends direct from the runway! I’ve been holed up and working like a maniac, and basically haven’t seen the light of day for the last two months! I really hope to hear from you and get lots of feedback on all the new product lines!
Drop by often, as I’m working hard on new products and articles to make this site a source of fresh inspiration for living your most creative life!

About Creators Couture
I want to bring the magic of couture into your daily life
You may not be able to swing to Paris to pick up this season's haute couture creations, but I want to bring some of that special kind of magic into your everyday life. I get my inspiration from all sorts of things... travel, music, movies, pop culture, and most of all... FASHION! I love getting inspired by the trends I see on this season's runways, especially haute couture. Using this inspiration, I am taking trends I see on the runway and interpreting them into my own unique illustrations and designs for my products. Whether it's a printable day planner that helps you stay on track, a beautifully printed tote bag with trends direct from the runway, or a lovely piece of printable stationery that encourages you to send a handwritten note to a friend, I want to bring a little couture magic into your lives!
Basic is everywhere... you deserve extraordinary!
You can get elegant, minimal and overpriced anywhere and everywhere. My site is called 'Creators Couture' because I am inspired by couture fashions, and I want to put the craftsmanship and WORK back in creating beautiful designs that will you enjoy. By definition, 'couture' is rare, unique and takes TIME to create, which is why I spend so much time creating all of these very special illustrations and designs. Taking the time to hand illustrate letters out of wheat or create seamless initial patterns out of chain letters (that I also illustrated myself) isn't necessarily the most sane idea, but I just can't help myself! I love creating really special, custom designs that are anything but #BASIC!
I want to inspire and be inspired
As I grow this site, I want it to be more than a place you buy unique, beautiful products -- I want you to come here for great articles, career inspiration and inspiring downloads that you can use everyday!I I'm uploading free design and blog resources, creating tutorials, free printables and more! I also want to be inspired and motivated just as much as you. If you have a suggestion, request - you name it, please send me a message or chat with me on social media! Interacting with my customers and other designers as well as helping others to be creative or inspired, is what keeps me working like a maniac and doing what I love.
a few random things About me
I am proof that your biggest successes
can come from the hardest periods in your life.
Last year, I was in Miami caring for my dog Mikey (who was my everything) that was in late stage heart failure, and spending thousands of dollars on his care because of some complications that had come up. Work from my steady freelance client was drying up, combined with the high rent and overhead in South Beach where I had been living the last 8 years was creating a ticking time bomb. After a particularly hard week where I had barely slept because of taking care of Mikey, I was on the edge of what I could handle on my own. I packed up my dog and bag one night and flew back to Missouri to stay with family for a bit to get some help and support in caring for my pooch and hopefully to regain a little sanity. After a couple of months there, I decided to make a bold decision and move out of my place back in Miami for a few months and regroup. I flew back, packed up and stayed a few months with my family back in Missouri. Having this bit of time where I was under less pressure and could focus 100% on something new allowed me to pursue a new project that I was interested in, which was creating tools and resources for other designers. I spent months on my first product, which happened to be a crazy best seller when it was released and totally changed the course of my career. I had freedom before as a freelancer, but I wasn't doing work that I was crazy passionate about. I really enjoyed it and have always enjoyed the process of creative problem solving in all it's forms, but this was a whole other level of passion that I discovered was in me. I continued to create more products, and haven't looked back ever since. It's absolutely been a dream and I have a thirst for design and illustration that just keeps getting bigger and bigger!
I am currently without permanent address
After the death last year of my very beloved dog, I again was free to travel like I used to before his heart failure got bad. Instead of settling immediately back in Miami, I decided to go for an extended trip and I have made my way around Europe for the last 5 months, crashing in spare rooms, friends couches, AirBnB flats, and I absolutely love being able to live a nomadic lifestyle where I can work and travel simultaneously. It's not for everyone and takes discipline, but to me true success is finding what makes you happy and figuring out a way to do it!
I've been on Buzzfeed
A fundraiser for our friend who had just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer got discovered via Instagram, and our story went a bit viral! It was featured in the Daily Mail, UK Sun and even Buzzfeed. It was pretty cool and you can read more about it here!
Well, that's quite enough about me, I hope you enjoy visiting my site and get a little inspiration for your day while you're here! I look forward to hearing from you! xx Jessica
